We were visiting my aunt and uncle who live out in Roanoke, Va. I wasn't planning on doing anything for my birthday - Matt and I went out to dinner and a movie - and I was good with that. I really didn't want a cake or anything like that - but come to find out my aunt and uncle had other plans :) They also have this "stupid" tradition where the birthday person has to take a bite out of thier cake - just like you did when you were little (think 1st birthday) and you had to hold the pose so they could get a picture. It was actually fun to laugh and talk about - especially since the blue frosting stained my face a bit :0

I love the eating cake picture! I'm just trying to figure out how old you are by looking at the candles. lol And is the 1 candle half eaten?
What a fun tradition!
I am 27 - we used an 8 and a 1 candle and then individual candles to add up to 27 - it almost looks like I am 81 in one of the pictures - and I think the candle was just melting really fast :)
